The Transformation

At the dawn of the day it was an asbestos coated boiler. it was originally coal burning. the coal bins are still in the basement. by the day's end, it's true beauty was revealed.

The boiler's environs- granite foundation, new electrical wiring, old shutters and asbestos coated pipes.

the transformation begins...the asbestos guys surrounded everything but the asbestos coated surfaces with white plastic. it reminded us of the scary part of ET when the scientists have him. it went from a dirty, dark, dank kind of place (much like a basement) to a bright, white, clean space....

the boiler revealed. this boiler was made in Boston and we figure it was installed when the house was built it 1900.

the boiler was broken into pieces in order to extract it from the basement. the house may have been built up around it. it has now found a new life as yard art, aka future fire pit.
